commemorative silver dollars (.90 fine) were issued by the U.S.Mint in honor of the Smithsonian
Institution's National Museum of the American Indian.

Dakota quarters, with two bison bulls grazing in the Badlands, in Proof and Silver Proof conditions, plus
two 2005 American Bison Nickels, in both Proof and Uncirculated conditions, from the new "Westward
Journey" series of nickels which honors Thomas Jefferson and the 200th anniversary of the Lewis and
Clark Expedition.
And for extra historical value, the set is completed with the very first 1913 Type I Buffalo Nickel,
featuring James Fraser's sculpture of a native chief, a composite based on three chiefs, including Chief
Iron Tail of the Lakota and Chief Two Moons of the Cheyenne; along with that time-honored, powerful
sculpture of an American bison named "Black Diamond", in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
And, in honor of the first buffalo hunters, this collection is built around an accurately reproduced
stone spearhead, hand made by a modern lithic craftsman using the stone age flint knapping methods,
in an ancient style used to hunt buffalo so long ago. Provided by www.StoneBreaker-FSC.net

Very First Buffalo Nickels Ever Made.
The Buffalo Hunter's Collection includes a 1913 Type I Buffalo Nickel,
the original design of one of the world's most recognized and popular
coins ever made. Almost one hundred years old, and still going very
strong. In an amazingly detailed Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The
1913 Buffalo Nickel Type I featured the buffalo standing on a hill, with
the "Five Cents" designation in raised letters. This was soon changed
to a flat ground surface, with a recessed area below the ground line
where the "Five Cents" designation would not wear away so quickly.
The Type II design was used for the next 36 years.
